Well, another day in NYC. Up at 4:00, out of the house by 5:30 and in the office by 7:30. I have to say that I am enjoying the work, but I have to shut my mind off to the commute. At least I get to take Amtrak which is much more comfortable than the New Jersey Transit cattle car commuter trains. Eventually, after we get this department whipped into shape, I will be able to work at home a couple of days a week. But that probably won't be for another year or so. My old boss brought 3 of us from the old Golden Books team in and boy is this place ripe with opportunity. And, I'm back in the TV business again. My current project is to take all the video tape commercials we have and convert them into digital files that you can view on your computer and put into a database so everything can be found easily. We have over 300 offices worldwide, all handling different clients and sending video over the web is a tricky thing to do with any reliability. So, I've got my work cut out for me. But, my experience in TV production and my last decade in Information technology has certainly prepared me for it. Just wait, in 5 years or so, you guys will be able to watch TV at the computer or on the TV and right now I'm in the pioneering stages. More to come....

Hi Carol, Darrell, Bill and Laura Jane. I thought I would put up this webpage to share information with you from time to time. This is a free service, so you can do the same thing too. I'm just learning about Blog, but I think you can post pictures and such here as well...I will let you know when I find out.
I'm at work now in the Big Apple...just got word of a new alert, so keeping my eyes open. The city's not that bad, but I do long for a job a little closer to home. One of these days. Russ
